Lutheran Social Services of Northeast Florida (LSS) is thrilled to announce that our very own President & CEO, Bill Brim, has been nominated for the esteemed Janet Owens Award, while LSS itself has been nominated for the prestigious JF Bryan Award at LISC Jacksonville’s 25th Anniversary Celebration April 4, 2024, at the Ritz Theatre & Museum.
Brim assumed the role of President & CEO of LSS in January 2020. Established in 1979, LSS oversees five community programs, addressing areas such as hunger relief, representative payee services, refugee resettlement, HIV services, and a financial opportunity center. Furthermore, LSS's Philips Highway location serves as a hub for four onsite nonprofits: CAN Community Health, JaxCareConnect, WeCareJax, and Vision Is Priceless.
