A Partnership of Peace: Crown Products

Lutheran Social Services of Northeast Florida (LSS) is honored to have partners like Crown Products, who support the LSS mission by helping to make our city a more welcoming place for refugees.
Once refugee families arrive in the United States, LSS is there to welcome them at the airport with warm smiles and open arms. Our team will help the newly arrived family to their new home, and will help them adjust to their new lives for the next 90 days.
Part of this process is finding employment for family members who are able to work, which can be extremely complicated when you have to start all over! LSS Tier Case Management (TCM) Program works one-on-one with refugees to help them find a job that they can thrive at in their new environment. LSS has offered Refugee Services since the 1980s, and helped over 2,500 refugee families receive comprehensive support in 2023 alone. Our impact would not be possible without long-time partners like Crown Products.
Over the past 15 years, LSS Tier Case managers have worked with Crown Products to employ recently arrived families at their facility. Through our many years working together, Crown Products has employed around 130 LSS clients, and helped them kick start their career in manufacturing. The partnership has provided these families peace and support during a chaotic time of change. Many of these employees have grown and been promoted to higher positions inside the company.
Not only have they been an amazing employment partner, but they have supported the LSS mission by sponsoring events such as Two Piano Journey 2022 & 2023, and our upcoming film screening of Peace By Chocolate. Learn more about the screening here: www.lssjax.org/chocolate.
