Lily, a single mother, was facing multiple challenges when referred to the Steps 2 Success program after completing the parenting class "7 Habits of Successful Families in Jacksonville." When Steps 2 Success staff met Lily, she was unemployed, in transitional housing, and without transportation. She was a former lawyer, but had her license suspended due to incomplete continuing education and relocation.
Through Steps 2 Success, Lily worked with a Career and Financial Coach to develop a comprehensive plan, which included reinstating her license. Lily found employment as a legal assistant, and secured stable housing with program assistance. Staff also helped Lily successfully complete the requirements in her family reunification case plan.
Now reunited with her son and equipped with refined job skills, Lily is on a promising path, attributing much of her success to the support provided by Steps 2 Success.
The LSS Steps 2 Success program is client-focused and driven by each client’s unique vision at no cost. Our staff assist clients with increasing income, decreasing expenses, saving money and reducing debt with a one - on - one approach.
