Steps 2 Success

Steps 2 Success (S2S) launched in December 2017 as Jacksonville’s first Financial Opportunity Center. FOCs–there are currently 130+ around the country–offer a holistic approach to financial well-being free to its members. In addition to career/employment services, FOCs provide career coaching, financial coaching, and access to income supports such as food stamps, utility assistance and affordable health insurance.

 

Coaches assist clients with increasing income, decreasing expenses, saving money and reducing debt. This integrated approach, coupled with long-term support from FOC staff, assists individuals and families with obtaining their long-term financial visions.

Career coaching services include:

  • Career Planning Services

  • Resume critique

  • Job seeking referrals

  • Job application and onboarding help

  • Professional LinkedIn optimization support

  • Education pathway assistance

Financial coaching services include:

  • Maximizing income

  • Budgeting assistance

  • Building assets

  • Debt and Credit Coaching

  • Debt management

  • Home ownership preparation

Kimba Clark's journey from homelessness to stability with Lutheran Social Services' Steps 2 Success (S2S) program showcases resilience and unwavering support. After a chance encounter with S2S, Kimba embarked on a transformative path. With coaching, resources, and determination, she secured employment, housing, and financial stability within a year.

The partners making S2S possible: LISC Jacksonville, United Way of Northeast Florida and the Siemer Institute. Steps 2 Success operates from both 4615 Philips Highway 32207 and their principal site 1601 Kings Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32209.

S2S is client-focused and driven by each client’s unique vision, all client services after the initial orientation are offered one-on-one with S2S staff.

 

Services are available to anyone 18 or older who has the time and commitment.
