About 100 Strong
At Lutheran Social Services, we believe every person in our community deserves the peace of mind that comes from knowing where their next meal will come from. Every day, families arrive at our food pantry searching for one thing: Hope.
Hope there is enough groceries to get through the week.
Enough stability to focus on work, school, and family.
Enough support to know they’re not facing hardship alone.
That's why we're introducing 100 Strong. A new initiative to create a dependable network of monthly supporters, working together to keep our food pantry shelves full throughout the year.
The LSS Food Pantry serves an average of 1,800 families each month, providing food to around 5,500 men, women, and children in our community. As summer approaches and many families lose access to school meals, we expect increased demand for our services.
Hunger can’t be put off. It doesn’t wait for the next billing cycle, and neither do we.

During a time when my family has been rebuilding our lives, the LSS food pantry has been an essential source of support and hope, a true blessing to my family. They helped fill a gap when resources were limited, when I knew I’d be doing life as a single parent, ensuring that my children always had food on the table while we worked to regain stability. Beyond meeting a basic need, the pantry offered dignity and a reminder that rebuilding doesn’t have to be done alone. The compassion shown to my children and I has eased the burden of this transition and given us strength to keep moving forward, one step at a time.

The first of one hundred
To help launch this effort, longtime LSS supporter Chris Kuo - co founder of Two Piano Journey - is stepping forward with a special match.
For every new monthly gift of $50 or more, Chris will make a one-time $100 gift to Lutheran Social Services.

The change in your pocket could change a family's week.
$10 provides a household with emergency groceries, about 30 pounds of food worth $80.
That’s enough to feed a family of three or four for almost a week.
Be one of 100 STRONG, donate today.
A small monthly change could mean regular meals for a neighbor. The extra you hardly notice could make a difference to a family in need. You can be the hope someone is praying for.
