Volunteer Spotlight

The Jacksonville Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association has adopted the LSS Second Harvest Food Bank as its primary focus for community service. This initiative was a result of the VTAA's national community service campaign, "
HokieBird Fights Hunger."
“Volunteering at the Food Bank was a very rewarding experience," said Trish Loop, Vice President of the Jacksonville Chapter VTAA. "We felt that the short time we spent there helped out someone in our community. We enjoyed working with a team to accomplish a task. Our children loved sorting the food and were glad to see that people in the area could get the food they needed for their family.” |
