Our Mission
The mission of Second Harvest is to distribute food and grocery products to hungry Americans and to educate the public about the causes and possible solutions to problems of domestic hunger.

For every $1.00 donated, the Food Bank is able to recover $53 worth of food to distribute to those in need. Food items most requested by agencies' clients are meat, beans, rice, and peanut butter.

The Food Bank serves nonprofit agencies in the following 18 counties: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee, and Union.

Subsidiary Distribution Outlets
SDO (Subsidiary Distribution Outlet) a food bank that has a contract with a Second Harvest affiliate. They are responsible for distributing food in their local area.
